Human performance advisory

Your worst performing asset does not appear in any report.

Lync HumanEdge is a human performance advisory. We help mid-sized organisations reduce sickness absence, staff turnover and hidden productivity loss, and we measure the result in the numbers your board already tracks.

One mark, one person. A thousand of them, the size of the organisations we work with.

What you see

Thirty-six people are not at work today.

UK employees take an average of 9.4 sick days a year. Across 260 working days that is 3.6% of a workforce absent on any given day. It is recorded, it is reported, and it is the only part of this your system can show you.

At work Absent, and counted

What it costs

The expensive part is still at work.

Presenteeism, people at work but performing below capacity, costs UK employers around £24bn a year. Roughly three times the absence you can actually count, and nothing in your reporting will show it to you.

At work, below capacity Absent, and counted

The published £24bn is a cost, not a headcount. How many people it touches cannot be read off your absence data, which is precisely the problem. The proportion shown here is illustrative.

What we move

3.6% to 3.0%.

We establish the baseline, we act where the data points, and we report against it in the metrics your board already reviews. That is the size of movement we measure, and the only kind we claim.

The hidden cost

Absence is what you see. It is not what it costs you.

UK employees now take an average of 9.4 sick days a year, the highest figure recorded since 2010. That number is visible, and most organisations manage it. What sits underneath it is not. Poor mental health costs UK employers around £51bn a year, and presenteeism, people at work but performing below capacity, accounts for roughly £24bn of it. Three times the cost of the absence you can actually count.

What we do

Diagnose. Act. Measure. Repeat.

Everything we do is built to move a small number of business metrics: sickness absence, staff turnover, retention and productivity. We diagnose before we intervene, and we measure after.

01

Workforce Diagnostics

Assessments, surveys and reporting that show where performance is actually being lost.

02

Performance Programmes

Targeted interventions across physical, mental, financial and social performance.

03

Leadership Enablement

Equipping managers to spot risk early and turn strategy into team performance.

04

Occupational Health

Clinical assessment and compliance support, delivered by an established provider.

Why us

Fifteen years of delivery. A commercial way of measuring it.

We are not a platform, and we are not a workshop supplier. Lync HumanEdge was built on fifteen years of delivering workplace health across the UK, from health assessments to occupational health. What has changed is how we frame it. We start with evidence, we act where the data points, and we report in absence rates, turnover, retention and productivity, not in attendance figures for a wellbeing day.

Evidence before intervention

No programme without a diagnosis.

Built for the mid-market

Sized for organisations of 100 to 1,000 people, not for an enterprise pilot or an app subscription.

Operational language

We answer to the P&L, not to a wellbeing budget line.

Who we work with

Where the numbers move fastest.

We work with mid-sized organisations where workforce performance is directly visible in operational results. Most of our clients come to us with one of three problems: sickness absence that keeps climbing, turnover that is costing more than they have calculated, or a wellbeing spend that nobody can evidence.

  • Manufacturing 100 to 1,000 people
  • Logistics & warehousing 100 to 1,000 people
  • Contact centres 100 to 1,000 people
  • Engineering 100 to 1,000 people
  • Professional services 100 to 1,000 people
